Hi - I just want to introduce myself. I’m currently caring for my 85 year old dad who has a diagnosis of Metastatic Prostate Cancer. Due to Covid and an admin error at the hospital we’ve had very little support since the diagnosis last October. Today we received our first visit from the Macmillan nurses and it was a wonderful experience. Dad has been managing on unsuitable painkillers, and we have had to go through the GP for everything when we could get an appointment. That’s all changing now and it’s a such a relief for me and hopefully will mean some more comfortable times for dad. Thanks for listening.

A cancer diagnosis in the family can be challenging in so many ways but talking with others who are walking the same type of cancer treatment journey will help you navigate this difficult time.
