Hi, is anyone else going through treatment for ALL?

  • Hi

    Welcome to the ALL forum.

I am not currently going through treatment as I was diagnosed in 2012 and then had a Stem cell transplant in 2013.

When I had my treatment I was on the UKALL14 trial which has left me leading a very normal life. Happy to try and answer any questions you have. I would imagine someone else will come along soon and reply who is currently undergoing treatment.

Hi thanks for getting in touch. How did the treatment make you feel and the side effects? Im feeling awful today very dizzy and i feel like i can’t concentrate, thank you

  • Hi

Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling good today.. nothing worse than dizziness. what part of the treatment are you having?

During stage 1 of treatment I was ok.. Stage 2 I felt dizzy and sick and really tired particularly with the intrathecals. Stage 3 was ok although I did react to the PEG asparaginase which wasn't fun.

I agree, aswell as dizziness i feel really washed out and tired. I am currently on the consolidation schedule and then I believe it’s maintenance after

  • Hi

Hopefully the dizziness and tiredness will pass but perhaps speak to your team and see what they think. Could your Haemoglobin be a bit low and you need a top up? I had a few even post SCT..
