My mum has terminal cancer

My mum has been told she has terminal cancer. It started in her right kidney, spread to her lungs and bones.  Since they have told us it’s in her spine and has eaten away 80% of a section of her spine.  She’s 89 years old and frail. She’s declined treatment and an operation on her spine to insert a cage to support her, as a result is losing use of her arms and legs, bladder etc.

I can understand her not wanting the treatment at her age but it’s hard to see her like this. She is a very strong lady whom I admire immensely. We lost Dad to COVID in January and are still grieving.  Mum said last night she doesn’t want to be here now she wants to be with dad, I’m heartbroken

    I’m so sorry to hear about your mom, it’s just so sad, sending thoughts, she will always be a very strong lady who you admire x keep strong

    Thank you. I saw her today, she said her hearing and sight are getting worse! I want this to stop, I’m so scared
