Hi, I was diagnosed with Uterine Carcinosarcoma and had a radical hysterectomy in December 2020.  Carcinosarcomas are rare and aggressive and within 9 weeks of surgery a further two tumours were discovered.  I don't seem to be able to find any recent activity regarding  uterine carcinosarcoma on this site.  Anyone out there please?

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

I'm very sorry to read that you've recently been diagnosed with a uterine carcinosarcoma and it's natural that you'd want to connect with others who have this. I typed 'uterine carcinosarcoma' into the search bar and found these previous posts which mention it. You could have a read through them and respond to any of the posters if you wanted to, although I think most of them are several years old.

The online community is divided up into different support groups and, although there isn't one specifically for uterine carcinosarcoma, you could join the womb (uterus) cancer group which is a great places to ask questions, share experiences and get support.

To join just click on the link I've created and then choose 'click to join' or 'join' (depending on the device you're using) on the page that opens. You can then introduce yourself and post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

If you have any difficulty navigating the community just drop me a reply and I'll be pleased to help.
