Hi. I got diagnosed last week and am currently isolating for surgery next week to remove a kidney.
This has been a bit of a whirlwind and although I am very much a 'glass half full' person, I'm worried that I'm so unfit and that this will affect my recovery. (I'm 58 with severe hyper mobility).
Any hints on how to prepare for surgery that is only a week away?
I've been part of this community before when I had breast cancer 7 years ago so know there's a lot of good support here!
love and light

Hi
I don't want to say welcome back so I'll just say welcome and I'm glad to hear that you found the community supportive last time.
As you know the community is divided up into different support groups and I can see that you've already found and joined the kidney cancer group. I'm sure if you post your question about preparing for surgery there the members will be happy to share their experiences with you.
Wishing you all the best
