Morning Tvman, thanks for your best wishes. Just a quick one to see how you are doing. I am glad to be home but honestly I am totally exhausted. So happy my oldest girl will be here shortly. I shall get pampered and hope I have enough energy to keep the peace. Lilly will be in a serious mood, as she always is when Christine is staying for a few days. Hi Stacy, so sorry to hear that you're still having phantom pain as well as prosthetic issues. 

I can't even begin to imagine your social anxiety Stacy, I hope that you can eventually overcome the worst of it and you can get some semblance of "normality". I've so much respect for you Stacy for what you've gone, and are going, through  

Wow, it's hot and humid with you. You're speaking my language when you talk in degrees fahrenheit, I understand those temperatures and I'd guess there are more in our group who would be comfortable with that. I'm old enough to remember days when we spoke about degrees fahrenheit and then we gradually changed to degrees centigrade and now our weather reports talk about degrees celcius! You don't want to start me about changing to metric measurements lol. 

Sorry I missed your birthday Stacy so belated wishes from me. Hope you had a nice day. Next year cut the cake in two-one piece for you and one piece for everyone else lol.

Hi Angie, I was going to drop you a line to see if you were home yet but you beat me to it! Good to hear that your daughter is coming to pamper you, being alone when you are just out of hospital can be downheartening and is definitely to be avoided.

Is Lilly the jealous one or is she just timid and stays out of people's way? We had a cat and he would have let people stroke him gladly and then sneakily bitten them! I had to warn everyone who came in. You should have seen how quickly visitors moved their hands as soon as I said "he bites" lol 

My bloods are low as usual and I've now been diagnosed with a wee bit of a heart problem. I've put a post about it on the 1st page of September.

How's the bruising Angie? It must be almost gone now.

Hi everyone 

I thought I would let you know that I shall be up very early on Sunday morning as I need to get to Glasgow as I am taking part in Sir Chris Hoy’s Tour de 4, in support of those with a Stage 4 diagnosis.  I am riding a static bike in the Velodrome as I am not safe on two wheels on the road!!!

I will make sure to say hello to the wonderful MacMillan team who will be there to say thanks for their support.

Unbelievably I have managed to raise over £1100.00 so far for Prostate Cancer UK and will be supporting the MacMillan effort whilst I am there.

What a way to spend a Sunday!!!

Hi KrisPy, good for you, taking part in the Tour de 4 and for raising a tremendous amount of money 

I've just watched the start of the Tour de 4 on BBC's Breakfast programme and the interviews prior to the start. The weather in Glasgow isn't great for cycling, it's raining so for you and your fellow static cyclists, you're in the right place this morning! 

I'll finish by once again congratulating you for a) taking part and b) raising a considerable amount of money for Prostate Cancer UK.

Sorry, just catching up with September. Glad they sorted you out and sent you packing again. Enjoy your daughter's stay and get better soon!

We had a great day and the rain did stop with the sun coming out even!! We got to see Sir Chris lead the first group home and then on into the Velodrome- such a cool location to be right in the middle of the track.  I exceeded my goal and managed 15km in a set 30 minute ride. I was helped enormously by having an Olympic Gold Medalist riding next to me!!!

A great event in support of MacMillan, Prostate Cancer UK, Maggie’s amongst others. A warm and loving group of people.  Us with Stage 4 had a special armband so we could identify each other - and I had a lovely chat with several over the course of the day.
