Here's your new thread for September!
Oh no Angie, so sorry you are not well. Hope they look after you well and you will be home soon. Take care xx
Thanks Stella, I had a bit of a shock when I was told. Keep thinking about my grandfather, father and brother all died from heart issues.
In times of drought, trees have a defence mechanism in which they shed many, many leaves. It's because there isn't enough water to sustain green leaves so they simply shed loads of them. Neat, eh? I have over 1000 trees in my close vicinity and it's like autumn without the colours!

Hi Angie,
I hope they can get the chest infection under control quickly so you can get back home to Lilly! Keep us posted when you're back home, and we'll be thinking of you!

Hi Stella,
It went okay, I just don't see myself going to the concert later this month. Mentally I don't know when my social anxiety and other issues will get worked out enough. I know everyone really wants me to go, and as much as I want to, I don't want to be miserable the entire time. It's hard to explain. I still have ongoing phantom pain, and some prosthetic issues still, so there's always something that we're trying to deal with. It's exhausting...
Our leaves usually turn in late October, our town is beautiful in the fall and has some great views when entering the town from the south. We also have a 14 mile long paved bike path that goes through town that has bridges and wooded areas that are so pretty in the fall as the colors change. Our development has access to the bike path, but so far I haven't ventured too far past our driveway with my chair.
It's been in the 90's here, with a lot of humidity, so I've been staying inside more. It's supposed to get cooler this weekend, but with more rain in the forecast.
I had my 22nd birthday in August, I'm pretty sure my niece and nephews ate more of my cake than anyone else, and Macy got some ice cream. lol

Hi Stacy
Those trails sound like an absolutely great excuse for a small trip out when the time is right.
I have been going out on a small path at the rear of my daughter’s house here in Aberfeldy which takes me to a wooded gorge which has a river running through it. It is known as The Birks of Aberfeldy and is a very popular spot for tourists - I took a photograph of some of your countrymen only yesterday so they could have a nice memory of the place! (And because of that I ended up doing the same for another two couples - I wasn’t quick enough to get away!!)
Scotland has begun to feel cold and windy a bit but every day is different because of the hills and valleys and we have the mighty River Tay running alongside the town.
A belated Happy Birthday!!!
All the best wishes
KrisPy

Hi Stacy
Happy Belated Birthday. I would think the trip to a crowded concert is probably a step too far. I would find it difficult too with access to toilets etc. However, the bike path neat your home sounds wonderful esp in autumn. Maybe you can take some photos and post it up here for us to see.
I went to see a personal trainer today while still have a pulled muscle. He was going to take me to a treadmill but I declined lol. Made some sessions in the next few weeks. First thing though is to buy some gym wear as I don’t have any sportswear. So done some online shopping
KrisPy, your stay in Scotland sounds ideal. I was in Perthshire years ago for a wedding. I remember the autumn colour was lovely.
TVman at least the doctors are on top of your hear issues. Hopefully it will be closely monitored and promptly treated.

Good Morning dear All,
I am so glad to report that I am home now. I can continue my antibiotics in tablet form now after a real blast of I.V for a couple of days. They only let me out because they all know Laura. They are happy that she will get in touch if she feels it’s needed. Great if your daughter is a Nurse. She is just away to Aberdeen Airport to pick Christine up. It will be lovely to have Christine home for a few days. Lilly was so delighted to have me back. That cat has a big and true loving heart. Shame it only extends to myself and nobody else.
wishing you all as nice a day as possible and the same for the weekend. Big cosy hug to you all from
