Hi everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for October. If you would like to catch up on September's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for: Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Hi Patrick and Stella, yes it is so lovely being on holiday and leaving the cancer at home. Wish it could be permanent. Five appointments to look forward to Patrick, now that is a real come down to earth. I remember Stella went straight from her flight from Joburg to chemo. How are you feeling now Mitch after your chemo? Hope everyone has a good day.

Thanks Mr Tvman. The situation is … this is my 2nd time of leave the freezer door open. It is not wide open but just short of closed tight. I think I was just not paying attention and not slamming the door in properly. Hopefully no 3rd time.
How is Mrs doing?
I had my chemo on Monday so just laying low for the next few days.

Sorry to hear you are still suffering. Have you contacted your team? maybe you can have a dose reduction and some additional supporting meds to help.
Yes I think chemo is to increase our life span but not at a huge cost to the quality of life.
I just moan until I got a dose reduction and lots of new meds to control the side effects .
Take care x
Hi Mich, it will give you quality of life compared to not doing it. We will never get the quality of life back that we used to enjoy but that's part of the deal. Keep pestering your care people to make it less aggressive and easier for you to cope with. They'll find a way.
Patrick xx
Thank you if still feel the same tomorrow I will hope your well xx
Had my chemo on Monday, doing Ok but normally the worst days are 4-7. So brace for the impact at the weekend.
I have not closed the freezer door since Thursday. As it is in the garage, no one heard the alarm’s beeping.
Only this summer, did my daughter get a fridge freezer that beeped when the door was left open for a prolonged period of time.
