Good morning everyone,

Just setting up a new chat thread for August. If you would like to catch up on July's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.

The chit chat thread is for: Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!

  • I am so sorry for your loss. Xx

  • Good Afternoon Everyone.

I have been in garden all day, shattered now, though pleased with what I have done..

still not seen Lee original about,  hope he is ok.

Not seen a few of our regulars',  all on holiday I bet.

Nice to see you back  Stella all safe and sound, and you had a terrific holiday.

Kate Sorry to hear about your joint  ownership of your faithful dog,  my thoughts are with you both.

  • Hello everyone

Sad news Kate - pets are part of our families and we love them so much , I’m sure it was a life well lived in such a loving home

It does feels quieter on here lately, hopefully that means everyone is well enough to be getting on with life - I really hope so

sounds like you are doing really well if you’ve managed a day in the garden . I noticed the nights starting to draw in a bit last night but the forecast is saying some warm weather next week -  hopefully summer is going to go out on a high ! It’s been a great one here in the North West this year so really no complaints Blush

Hope everyone has a good weekend with an extra day on Monday for those of us in England- yay !!!

    Lucy xx

  • Yes Lucy I noticed how the night  are drawing in.  do not like the dark nights depressing,  for  me.

    • was nice today not to hot,   and I cleaned the outside of the conservatory, windows.

Going to be nice for the next few days.

The thread is always busy in the winter, some people living on their own can always find some one to talk to.

Enjoy your  week end Lucy x xxxx

  • Sorry Kate, I do know what pets mean, not nice or easy but yet again acceptance is the only way forward

    Patrick xx

  • Hi Angie, wie ist es dir? Etwas still in letzter Zeit. Alles gut hoffe ich!

    Patrick xx

  • Hi Ellie, as long as we can moan and groan we are very much alive. Last Christmas I was not sure I would be greeting the next winter so bring it on

    Patrick xx

  • Think we all think like that at the start.

Think it is just  adjusting , going along to all the appointments, then that becomes  part pf our new life, at least it is a life, though  a different one to what we  had.

  •    I am so sorry to hear about your dog. It is heartbreaking. Sending love x

  • Good morning everyone.  What a beautiful day.  My husband Jon has bought another motorbike a Harley Davidson so is going on a breakfast run this morning with his friend.  I am going to walk the dogs before it gets too hot.  We are going to sit in the garden later and have a BBQ.  I have booked our holiday to Tavira in Portugal for a week on 6 September so looking forward to that.  I want to see how my back holds up on a three hour flight.  Travel insurance was £389 for an annual multi trip policy for both of us so a good price I think as we want to go to Iceland in February.  I hope everyone enjoys this beautiful weather.  Have a good day.
