Good morning all
Just setting up a new chat thread for July. If you would like to catch up on June's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for:
Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Look forward to it. My oncoligist gave me the official green light this afternoon for take-off to Bangkok in October - now I feel strangely nervous and apprehensive. Normal I hope

, they look so cute Stella, so do the croc's , lol, I'm sure you'll have a good guide to keep you as safe as possible, and would anything impress Winstofn?, maybe Hanhan, does he like her?, if so don't let Lilly know.
No need for a minibus my friend, only three friends can make and maybe eldest granddaughter, so the car is big enough.
love Eddie and Sheila xx
Very nice Stella, suits you well

Hi Patrick, Terrific news you’ve got the green light for your holiday. Yes I think it is natural to be apprehensive. The main thing is do you have your Travel Insurance now, don’t wait until nearer your holiday, as soon as your holiday is booked, that is when you need insurance! That’ll be something to really lift your spirits when you think of your upcoming hols! Fantastic!
Love Annette x
How exciting! Look how far you have come since last year. How long are you going for? What is the itinerary? X
Hi Patrick, I echo Annette's thoughts on holiday insurance. I watched a programme on TV very recently that dealt with the topic of booking insurance at the same time as you book your holiday. Why? Well insurance companies can, and do, refuse to pay out if you cancel your holiday after booking your insurance at a later date than when you book. Their reasoning is that something has cropped up at a later date and the prospective holiday maker is only booking their insurance in order to claim back the cost of the holiday.
I hope that you get away without unforeseen circumstances and you have a great time Patrick.
Hi Stella I did backpacking around Africa for eight months. I took the malaria tablets and ended up still getting malaria. I went to Rwanda to see the Silverback Gorillas which was amazing but tiring trekking up the mountains. Did canoeing in the Okavango Delta lots of crocs and hippos. Did whitewater rafting down the Zambezi. All in all a trip of a lifetime so I just know you are going to have a wonderful time.

That is great news Patrick! Quite normal to feel nervous I think. I always found any type of travelling daunting, even before my diagnoses, but the destination and memory’s to be made are so worth it!! You’ll have a fantastic time x
We are off to Wales today to see some family. Celebrating my cousins birthday tonight at a party, let’s hope I make it past 9 o clock! First time leaving my little Alfie ( not home alone of course, my daughters are taking care of him at home) missing him already and I’ve not even left the drive yet.
