Hi
Leelaloo Sorry to hear you have much pain from the radiotherapy. I really hope it will ease off soon for you. I have never been to Cornwall or Devon either. It is another trip needed to plan. When I was in Scotland , I saw many camper vans, esp Dutch ones. Many roads are very narrow but with stunning scenery. The end of May is normally a good time to go to Scotland but no one can guarantee the weather.
Eddie: I am good for no showering from now on but must take pity on the passengers of the plane ️. I don’t think they will be too impressed!
I had a call with my GP who I knew for years for anti malaria drugs. He and I concluded it makes far more interesting obituary if I got killed by wildlife on my safari . I will try walking safari and canoeing to facilitate this
Well I’m wondering if you are now the owner of a khaki or camouflage coloured wig for your trip ???
To answer your earlier question about my trip to Greece- we were in the “palm and fingers of Greece” ie the Peloponnese, less commercialised than some of the islands . We were very lazy though and didn’t do much sightseeing at all , just mostly lazed on the beach under the umbrella and swam a lot in the lovely clear, warm sea. It was hot but always a breeze in the afternoon and of course air con in the apartment. I love Greek food too so the days seem to fly by
We have booked Japan for next year , who knows if I’ll be able to go but we only paid a very small deposit so I thought stuff it , let’s just book it !!!!
Happy packing
Lucy xx
Haha, canoeing sounds fab, but don't annoy the hippo's, it may well make for an interesting obituary my friend, but we'd rather have you back safe and sound lol, and what would Winston do, have a great time.
love Eddie and Sheila xx
Greece holiday sounds ideal! I was booked on a Japanese cruise with my mum last May but have to cancel due to recurrent cancer.
When are you going? How long are you going for? I am quite envious!
I actually bought a new wig for the holiday. Not green though . Here it is.
I will try to avoid the . Apparently , one must not get in between a hippo and the deep water. In very rare occasions, the canoe maybe over a submerged hippo. Then it is game over as if one gets into the water , crocodiles are everywhere and will get you quite quickly.
Winston is going to stay with my parents and their cat Hanhan. He is going to be spoiled but will remain unimpressed.
Your trip with friends to NI sounds fantastic. Are you all going in a minibus? X
Looking fabulous Stella !
In fact it is a cruise next May around Japan - maybe the sane one you were planning. I have never done a cruise , not really appealed to us but this is 12 nights with 10 stops so a good way to see a lot of Japan. We plan to add a couple of extra nights on at the end in Tokyo . It’s hard to think that far ahead but I’m getting use to being pragmatic. If we don’t go something else can be planned closer to home I’m sure
It could well be the same one. The first week in May is major public holiday for Japanese and Chinese so that could be very busy. Otherwise may is a good month to go as it can get very hot and humid in Japan in the summer. I find long haul flight quite difficult to tolerate nowadays. The safari could be my last long haul. But who knows maybe I like it so much I will do another one next year.
LOL no don't take anti-malaria drugs, just use insect repellents, especially when it gets dark. Look forward to seeing you hugging a baby tiger...
Patrick xx
Zambia has 3.9 million cases of malaria every year so it is pretty bad out there. I will try to get a close up with leopard just for you Patrick
