Good morning all everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for June. If you would like to catch up on May's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for:
Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.
If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment.
Hi my friend, I'm sorry to hear about your OH, hopefully as they've asked her to go straight away, you'll have a much shorter wait, I will have everything crossed for you both, and knowing what's happening, I hope makes things a little easier.
My visit to the hospice isn't a concern, but thank you all the same.
If you ask the nurses, maybe there's a pair of glasses in lost property which may help for today.
I will be thinking of you both my friend m, for a positive and speedy outcome.

Hi Stella, I've been on my journey over 3 years, and it takes time , but you do find out how much you can push yourself, there are signs your body will give you, as soon as you recognise them, take a break.
Your results are wonderful my friend, stable, still good for your breaks and given the ok for your safari, sounds good to me, and who's to say you won't get your treatment break at some time.
I'm ok, just day hospice today, I'm back tomorrow to see my PCT, medical updates and talks.
Eddie xx
Sorry everyone I still have no update on Ellie. She is still in hospital as far as I know. X
Well you got the green light for your safari - fantastic!!
Sounds like you need to start thinking about where you want to go for your late summer break Stella !
Take the wins
Thank you Eddie, very wise advice again. I always start with a headache, if I carry on then I would have a fever and hospital stay. So maybe next time, I will just rest completely when I have a headache again.
I just need getting used to live this chronic condition and treatment. It is quite manageable, but just hard as it is endless. At least i am only going to the hospital once every two weeks which is a lot less than many others.
I hope you are not over doing things yourself. Do you have to travel far for the wedding? I hope it is not too hot for you.
Take care xx
You are quite right Lucy! I suppose I was hoping for a break from chemo. It is the mindset that I need to accept and get used to.
I am trying to balance between active and rest. As I don’t want to a visit to a local hospital as part of my holiday
Have you discussed your issues with the surgeon? xx
Hi Stella, I was just as guilty as everyone else for trying to do too much, and by being careful and pacing yourself, its possible to improve your fitness and keep those hospital visits to a minimum.
I'm being careful my friend, my latest problems are all side effects from medication, but we have a plan going forward, and I love the warm weather, and my daughters wedding is less than 10 mins from her house, which is 10 mins from my place.
Eddie xx
Thanks, Chelle, let's hope no news is good news.

Hi Eddie
I am glad you have a plan forward. Side effects from the cancer treatments can be quite horrible. I have yet to know where my limit is. Not sure how to find it? Would be nice to gradually expand that limit over time.
It is great the wedding is so close to your place. It would be a wonderful day.x
