The chit chat thread is for:

Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.

If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment.

  • Oh no! Poor mrs Patrick! She must of been heartbroken. We had a lovely black cat called Lola, she was only one years old when she was run over and killed outside my front door. She would always lay in the road, and I would tell her one day you will get run over! And that’s exactly what happened. I cannot bring myself to have another cat. I really didn’t think we would have another dog after Bella, but I’m glad we have Alfie now. He will never replace Bella, but he is helping to mend my heart x

  • Thank you Lee2, I'm ok, as I hope your upcoming scans will tell you, I'm sorry to hear their checking for MSCC, I am deemed very high risk for it, and have had 6 MRI, to check for it, not my favourite scan either my friend, but thankfully no sign of it, and I will have everything crossed its the same for you.

  • Thank you Lucy, it is indeed my youngest daughter's wedding this Saturday, and so sorry to hear you've lost all your furry friends, and hope one day, you'll have one come into your life

  • Hi Stella, lovely to hear what a lovely holiday you and mum had, but sorry you've come home with an unwanted passenger, who put you in hospital for a day, I hope your on top of it now, and feeling better soon, and my very best wishes for your results tomorrow.

  • Good morning Eddie, how are you getting on? All the arrangements for the Wedding in place? What a lovely occasion to look forward to at the weekend. Your Harem will look glamorous no doubt. Meeting up with Laura for lunch today. We have a new little bookshop here, so have a good browse there after lunch and see what we can find. I have never yet managed to come out of a book seller empty handed Grinning. Enjoy your trip on Friday if you are still going. Love to you all

  • Good morning .  I just wanted to ask if it is legal to drive if you take tramadol or morphine?  Someone said something on another thread and I just wondered.  I never thought about it before.  Hope everyone has good day and enjoy your lunch and bookshop browsing Angie x

  • Morning Angie, I'm ok, had a lovely day yesterday, and slept well, everything is in place for the wedding, apart from the girls getting ready, it's a smart-casual ceremony, so why do they need a day and a half to get ready. I will have a trim, hair/beard, at the hospice today and decide what to wear 10 minutes before I leave for the ceremony.

Sounds lovely my friend, lunch with Laura, is that at home or eating out?, and have fun in the book store, I hope it's not full of sci-fi or romance, and Friday is still on, looking forward to the meet-up.

  • Hi lee, your medical team will tell you if you cannot drive. I’ve looked it up on the NHS website for you, which I will add links below for, but basically if you feel ok to drive, not dizzy or tired, you can drive,  but you really need to make sure you feel ok to do so.
It’s not illegal to drive on these meds, however if an accident happens or you are stopped for dangerous driving, you can be drug tested and prosecuted. It’s a very grey area.

  • Following on from the previous post, I think everyone is different as people react differently to meds. I for one could not of driven when I was taking tramadol or morphine, as I was completely spaced out. A friend of mine however took tramadol regularly for years, and it had no effect on her at all.
