Good morning all everyone,
Just setting up a new chat thread for June. If you would like to catch up on May's chat you can click here. Please note that it's now locked, so you won’t be able to reply to that thread.
The chit chat thread is for:

Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.
If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment.
I think I’ve known Ellie for 8 years. We met on the lung group, she was one of the first people to get immunotherapy which was just amazing at the time. Now it’s a first line treatment, just shows how things are advancing all the time x
Hi Chelle and thanks for that update, I had been wondering too but this illness seems to be making me less impulsive at last.
Ellie, keep fighting, you gave me such a warm welcome. Thinking of you
Patrick xx
Oh Chelle, I had also noticed that Ellie had not posted for several days and was starting to get worried. Thank you for updating us.
All the best Ellie. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Helen
I know Chelle, after retiring from healthcare in 2020, to diagnosis 2 years later, then on to now, the number of advances and new treatments has been amazing, and as I love studying, the understanding of cancer especially at the genetic level and the use of AI is helping develop many new treatments too,
Eddie xx
Aw thanks for letting us know Chelle
Of course I haven’t been on here for very long compared to others but Ellie was very welcoming when I first joined and I always enjoy her dry humour
I hope she will soon be home and getting her sheets on the line no doubt !
Lucy xx
Thanks for letting us know Chelle. Hope Ellie will be home soon and enjoying her glass of wine as usual. I will be keeping you both in my thoughts.
love from
Angie and Lilly xx
Thank you for updating us Chelle.
Best wishes for Ellie and hope she will be home soon xx
Hi
I have arrived and had a very busy first day. Just going to rest today and maybe a gentle walk along the lake.
At the airport yesterday morning, it was packed and hardly anywhere to sit. There are young ladies wearing the tightest beige shorts, only cover half of one’s bottom! It is rather shocking to see at 6am. Not sure what the foreign people would think once they have landed. Maybe I am just too old.
Anyway Stresa is lovely . Weather plus quite warm but nice under the shade. Food excellent and cheaper than Cambridge.
This is the view from my tiny balcony
Hi Stella, that looks lovely! So you mean you didn’t take your short beige shorts with you!! LOL! Just kidding of course! Enjoy your break!
Love Annette x
