I spend a lot of time indoors, in front of the tv. I am a bit of a soap addict, with Eastenders being my favourite. But I am always looking for new things to watch, so thought I would start a thread to see what you have been watching, any good recommendations that might interest anyone.
Oh sorry Eddie, didn't realise you were in hospital. Hope they get you fit enough to home very soon!
Crown Court, those were the days when you asked your friends at school whether they had seen the film the night before....and Crossroads and great sitcoms

Hi Patrick, thanks mate, but I'm ok and though it's very early, my procedure in hospital seems to have gone well, they've let me go home so that's good, Sheila's away, so I'm going out with a friend I know from the hospice then to my daughters.
We never had a TV when I was at school but my best friend who lived next to the school did and sometimes during lunchbreak we'd go to his mums for dinner and watch crown court, there was only 2 channels, and we'd try to guess whether they were guilty or not, we wagered 10p, good times.
So how are you my friend, and how is everyone over the sea, I do hope the weather's being nicer to you than it is here, your holiday to Thailand sounds amazing and isn't too long wait is that a family holiday?.

eddiel sorry I didn’t know you were in hospital….and there was me moaning about a blooming tooth!! Glad you are now home.
I am not aware of crown court so I don’t know if it is similar or not. I used to rush home in my school lunch break to watch an Australian programme called the Sullivans.x
No worries mate " Australiaism", I think Crown Court finished in the early 80s, so you would have been far too young. I don't recall the Sullivans, but my 1st partner loved Neighbours, which I sort of got into for a while, but don't tell anyone as the acting was appalling, I remember Guy Pearce joing the cast, he made everyone else look even worse, an amazing actor.

We have just watched I fought the law, on itv and itvx. Sheridan Smith plays Anne Ming in this true life story about the murder of Anne’s daughter Julie in 1989. It took Anne 17 years to get justice for her daughter, but she never gave up.
I want to see it. Is it quite stressful watch? X
It is upsetting, but you need to watch it to see how badly Anne was let down by the police and the prosecution service. Shocking what she went through x
