I spend a lot of time indoors, in front of the tv. I am a bit of a soap addict, with Eastenders being my favourite. But I am always looking for new things to watch, so thought I would start a thread to see what you have been watching, any good recommendations that might interest anyone.

  • Morning Chelle, no need to apologise my friend, dental problems when you have issues that complicate treatment are familiar to me, my main one at the moment is actually registering with one, I've been on 16 waiting lists for 8 years, I'm not NHS, and getting nowhere. It's good to hear you've been treated as toothache can be horrendous, and the antibiotics do their job, will you be having a false tooth of some kind, or carry on with a gap. I'm trying to get on denosumab or zoledronic acid, as the alendronic Acid, I was on" I've stopped taking it due to the damage its causing to my GI tract", but even with over 40 microfractures due to osteoporosis, things are taking far too long.

Awww Alfie's jack Russell side is taking over, but that's not good him eating acorns, there not  good for our furry friends, Poppy's thing is goose grass seeds, "sticky willy",  I'm sure she deliberately runs through the plants to get covered in their seeds so she can eat them, thankfully there harmless, JRs certainly have characters, especially the boys, which is why it's always been girls for me, but their wonderful company and always making you smile.

  • Hi  I’ve been on denosumab for 5 years now, and this is the first time I’ve had any worries on it. I’ve never had tooth problems before either, not even a filling in my 56 years, so this has all been very traumatic for me. I won’t bother with a false tooth, it’s at the back so it won’t notice.

Alfie is so good on so many things, I’ve done so much training with him, he sleeps in his crate, is great in the car, he just loves people ! So gets very excited. I keep telling myself he will calm down…..one day x

  • Hi Chelle, 5 years without a problem for most drugs iis great, and is everything feeling ok again, no discomfort or eating/drinking issues?, I'd do the same and not bother replacing it.

Alfie, is doing really well, your doing a fab job with him, JRs as well as being totally bonkers like most terriers are also very intelligent for a little dog and are cunning and conniving little so and so's and being fearless tend not to look before they leap, my Poppy is great off the lead, will ignore everyone and anything when told, but if she sees a rat, she's a law to herself. PS she's 8 1/2 now and is still like a puppy in many ways.

  • It’s feeling much better today, I’m not counting down the minutes in between paracetamol! I’m going back to the dentist on Tuesday, I just hope it has healed ok by then and I won’t need anything else done!

Alfie was neutered today, which I really hope helps to calm him down. But yes your description of your Poppy sounds very familiar ! X

  • Awww poor Alfie losing his manhood, I can empathise with the little fella, as they've done mine chemically," hormone therapy ", at least he'll not know what he's missing, and hopefully everyone will have a much more relaxing time.

That's great news, your discomfort is easing, it bodes well there's no infection, but best wishes for Tuesday my friend and for Alfie's loss to be the start of a much more relaxed future.

  • Back on topic….i would highly recommend the Jury: murder trial which was on Chanel 4 this week but you can catch up with it on more4. Filmed in a court room with actors playing out a real case that has happened, the jury are 12 members of the general public. The jury have to debate on the case and convict as if it was a real trial, to see whether they come up with the same conviction as the original jury. It is very interesting to watch how people’s opinion are made and can change over the week, and opens up a discussion as to whether our  jurisdiction is adequate.

  • Morning Chelle, I've done jury service twice, and Sheila my partner works for three solicitors and we've been saying for some time the jury system is full of holes and too easy to exploit, and for certain crimes such as fraud serve little purpose if any, but what's the alternative, it's a little like democracy, what does giving everyone a say bring us, certainly not what we'd wish for. I used to watch crown court over 40 years ago, is The Jury anything like that?,

  • Gosh Eddie! 'Crown Court' brings back some memories! I seem to remember it used to be on just after lunch? Used to watch it when I skived off school!

    Hope you're well this morning...

  • Hi Puddock, I liked crown court as they used real people in the jury,  but I  never saw you as a twagger, and you went home, you were braver than me, I hardly ever twagged school but I would never dare go home. I'm ok,  should be back home soon, just need to show my bowels are  ok. and how are you, my friend and how are you feeling about tomorrow?,

  • Hi Eddie

Hope you get home today. There are better places to be than a hospital over the weekend!

Not sure what you mean by tomorrow....
