I spend a lot of time indoors, in front of the tv. I am a bit of a soap addict, with Eastenders being my favourite. But I am always looking for new things to watch, so thought I would start a thread to see what you have been watching, any good recommendations that might interest anyone.
Hi Leelaloo there are some good characters in this years strictly, just hope there isn’t too much bad press this year as there was last year!
The only programme I can think of is Yellowstone? But that is an American western drama ? X
I think it is called untamed on Netflix. Murders in the Yellowstone national park. It is on my to watch list.
Oh yes!! I had forgotten about untamed!! Yes you must watch it, it is a great series! Thank you for the reminder Stella2020
x
I’ll start this one - nothing on the go at the moment
I watched The Guest - it was pretty rubbish tbh but I stuck it out to the end …
There are some really good dramas on at the moment. We watched 9 bodies in a Mexican morgue, which is about a small plane that crashes in a remote Mexican jungle. One by one the survivors are killed, so it’s a real murder mystery with you guessing who the killer could be. That is on BBC1 and iplayer.
On itv and itvx we started watching the Hack last night, which is about a journalist that discovers the phone hacking scandal. David Tennant stars as Nick Davies the main character in this 7 part drama.
For something more light hearted we are watching the new series of All creatures great and small on channel 5. This is a great re make of this popular drama. The new series is season 6, but you can catch all the previous series on My5 and some are on Netflix.
I love all creatures great and small. It is so heartwarming and cosy.
It’s a lovely programme isn’t it. It feels like it should be shown on a Sunday tea time though, and not a Thursday evening. It’s the sort of programme we would watch whilst having our Sunday evening tea, to take my mind off going back to school the next day! I think Samuel West plays a wonderful Seigfried, his vulnerability is really starting to show with the return of Mrs H. That has reminded me of a great programme his parents Timothy West and Prunella Scales made on Channel 4 called Great Canal journeys. You joined them on their narrow boat which they had done for many years, and it was clear how Prunella was struggling with dementia, but also showed their love and devotion for each other. It truly is a lovely programme, I will check later to see if it is still available on more 4 and report back x
Oh yes I saw bit of that Canal journeys and looked lovely might have a look for that.

I have tried to find it on more4 and it is there but you can’t view it at the moment. There are some episodes on YouTube I found.
