Morning all, Just setting up a new chat thread for March. If you want to catch up on February's chat you can click here but it will be closed.

The chit chat thread is for:

"Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!

Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.

If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment."

  • Good morning Lex, I could have sworn I wished you happy birthday a few weeks ago but then again my mind is all over the place these days, probably went to see the wong consultant yesterday Smirk.

Anyway, hope you had a great day and are enjoying the kind of beautiful weather we're having at the moment.

    Patrick xx

  • Morning All

Not so frosty this morning, though still cold.

Sorted out my problem  hopefully will getting mu eye sorted.

Had injection in eye, and next one due 4 weeks time, if no appointment nurse gave me PALA number, they will sorts  it out.

Getting there slow but sure. Once all injections done, can have the cataract op, happy days.

    Hope all are well, and any appointments for today, go well;

    Later not long up

  • Good morning

I had my review of my CT scan. The oncologist is pretty happy with it. There is no spread or new spots. There are some shrinkage and he said that is the upper end of his expectations. So to continue another 6 cycles. He also has given the go ahead with a holiday in Mallorca later this month.
I have ordered a fancy sp50 hat for the holiday, Audrey Hepburn style from Europe! Always wanted a big floppy summer hat Womans hat

The weather is very nice here so going to Stamford for a look around and some lunch.

Ellie glad you had your first injection, hopefully you will able to see much better soon.
Eddie when is your moving date? How is Sheila? Hope Leslie is recovering well.
Alana how was your scan report?
    How are you Lee 1?
Hope everyone has a pleasant day

    Stella xx

  • Morning Ellie, that's so good to hear, you've been in limbo too long, not knowing what's happening or when, will your next injection be the last sorry it's been so long since your first one, I can't recall.

    Eddie xx

  • That's great news Stella, regarding your results and holiday, no idea what a sp50 hat is, but look forward to seeing you with it on,

Lesley and Mandy are doing very well and Sheila got back Saturday, and all settled in on Monday, enjoy Stamford, lot's of good places to eat.

    Eddie xx

  • Morning Stella, such good news for you. I am delighted for you and Craig ( and Winston of course). It will be fab to go on your holidays in a wee while. I am still waiting for my results. Taking rarther long time so not sure if that is good or bad Grinning. What will be will be, gosh sounding like Doris Day. Everybody have a good next few days and whatever is throwing itself in your paths.

    love Angie and Lilly xxx

  • Hi should be one more., supposed to be every 4 weeks, it was  6 months, since last one, I tried  and tried,  to get threw to some one, no one seemed to know, what they where doing.

Though now I have name and phone number for right person.

    Hope your day going well.

  • Hi that is real good news Stella, long may it carry on, and a Holiday, what a bonus.

  • That's great you have a contact now Ellie, I just wish they'd given you one in the beginning, are the injections at the same place as before, and fingers crossed everything goes smoothly and well from now on,

I'm chasing up appointments lol, with some success, and been to have my feet done, not sure we're doing much later, might enjoy the sunshine in the garden

    Eddie xx

  • Due to chemo, I have to have SPF 50 factor to cover my face all the time. Some hat claims they can do that. Stamford is a lovely town, very well kept to 19th century architecture, a bit like a film set. We had an excellent lunch at The George hotel.

I am glad you have settled down with Sheila in the new place., must be very exciting . When are you going to up to Scotland and then down to the scilly isles?
