We've officially entered February, new thread as kindly requested by ellie 73
Description:
Daily Life chit chat for bloods, scans, appointments, going shopping, cutting grass, reading, watching some thing decent on TV - whatever your day has in store for you. That is daily life!
Even having a laugh, that is a normal life, and we all have it.
If you have a special topic please start a new thread so people that wish to see it can, and can comment.
Hi Ellie no she never said anything and was very vague about it all. I am only on the third cycle of Ribociclib tablets so she said it is too early to see if they are working. I dont know who to talk to. I find it difficult to talk to people and I just laugh and smile through it all. I havent had a scan on my brain at all, is this normal? Sorry for all these questions. Actually I feel like crying and havent cried very much at all since I found out about the secondary cancer.

Hi Lee I can’t answer any of your questions but is there someone you could speak to other than your consultant. Do you have another contact CNS maybe?Sending you love and hoping that today may bring a little relieve from the stress and anxiety you are feeling . X chris
Hi Leelaloo I am sorry you have been told this, and in such a cold and uncaring way. I know they are only doing their job, but sometimes they seem to forget that we don't understand medical terms, or what they are telling us. Some need to take exams in empathy.
I think what ellie 73 has suggested is very good advice, give the macmillan support line a call, it is a free call number, and they really are very helpful. 0808 808 0000.
Good morning Winston and human pets. It was an ok-ish visit apart from the big hairy dog barking at me in the waiting area. Got the all clear (as ever) and got some treats when we arrived back home. My Vet is only 5 minutes away in the car, so not a long journey. Have a lovely day Winston

Hi i am not sure if it only does the bones, you should not be left in limbo and siting worrying about it.
As Chell has said as well as me phone the help line, they always answer my question, they are all lovely and are cancer nurses
.
I have my regularly CT scans and a Brain MRI.
Please just pick phone up, and speak to some one
I've just come back from playing billiards with one of the few friends who still treat me exactly the same as before my diagnosis. It's weird how many have become oddly unnatural and look at me as if they expect me to implode and disappear in a puff of smoke at any moment. And then are people who have heard I can't speak because they cut out my voicebox, have been in intensive care because they haven't seen me around for a while. What is wrong with them? Sorry about the rant, had to come out.
