  • Oh dear Puddock, I really don't know what to think about your Christmas tradition.

    love Eddie xx

  • Oh WOW Ulls, that's amazing news, has it sunk in yet, I'm so pleased for you my friend and your wonderful family, active surveillance, what a fabulous surprise, couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

    Eddie

  • All I found in the fridge, was muck, but all done now.

Chest freezers do give you more spec, though can not keep as tidy as an upright, i have a new upright one, mine broke   earlier in the year.

In fact I have had lots of things going wrong and breaking an I am on the list as well, lol.

I  normally get my hir cut every four weeks, not been done since start f September, and I had to wait till operation site has  healed, horary tomorrow is D Day, can not wait lo, simple things please simple minds.

The Health Service is going down thats for sure. no one knows what the other is doing, and you as a patient has to try and sort it out, have enough stress, and thy give you more.

If only they worked together, like the left hand does not know, what the right is doing.

    Glad your appointments went well.

At  least you was out in the fresh air for a while, blow the cob webs away.

  • That sounds wonderful!  No chemotherapy and just surveillance is great news.

  • Hi Ellie,  my appointments were for bloods, to see if I'm ok for chemo, I'm not having chemo, and my other appointment was with my CNS at urology to sort an early time for tomorrow's MDT meeting, which we did, only to find out, by Email, later my appointment has been moved to next Tuesday, NHS in perfect harmony.

I would love a chest freezer, but have no room for it,  and I heard about all your appliances breaking down Ellie, at least your still standing my friend, they don't make them like you anymore

More like out in the drizzle and cold winds, sunshine tomorrow, and going with friends to Castle Howard, have fun at the hairdressers tomorrow, are you going for the punk rocker look Ellie, you would look fab, PS, I haven't been to the barbers since 1980, and no my hair isn't 30ft long, it all fell out, LOL, I hope your enjoying a glass of wine with your feet up.

    Eddie xx

  • I must be an old relic or an ancient if they do not make them like me lol lol.

No ,Mochica been there now it is back to normal grown back lovely.   You cant see the cut, goes from top of head to nape of the neck.

Lets hope your bloods are good, so you can have chemo if needed, always good to have some thing on the back boiler.

I know when I landed up with the fractures in my pelvis. my thoughts where is it the cancer.

I like to be one step in front and asked the oncological, her reply yes you have a gene mutation, so suitable for target therapy,

I had forgot about the mutation, been a while since I was diagnosed, been a long long road, and this old relace is still  moving along.

  • Hi Ellie, I certainly feel like an old relic, and you are one of a kind my friend,  and it's good to hear your hair has grown back so well, but no mohican, what about a little colour, pink's nice.

I'm hoping my chemo is at least a year away Ellie, so not sure why their testing my blood to see if I'm good to have it now.

Will know for sure next Tuesday what my next treatment will be, hopefully 2nd Gen ADT to keep me ticking on for some time.

My bedtime Ellie, I'm getting old lol

    Eddie  xx

  • Hi Ellie, I am pleased that at last you have a date for your scan. Hoping and praying for good news for you! I am sure your family and friends will forgive you if you don’t send cards. Apart from a few, I don’t send cards now and give the money I would have spent on cards & stamps to charity. Quite a few people here do that! I wouldn’t worry about the garden, they all look the same when it snows or is frosty! Our garden bin collection stopped 3 weeks ago, so that’s a great excuse & yes it is far too cold!!

  • Hi Ellie, Sounds like it was a good idea not to cut your hair, as now you can choose what length you want it just in time for Christmas. I have an upright freezer, my sister has deep two chest freezers and I was trying to reach something and fell in! ( I’m only 5ft) so no chest freezer for me!,)  Everyone was so busy falling about laughing, by the time they pulled me out my hair was almost white! On that note good night everyone OR good morning if you are just up!!!

  • Good morning

I had a call with my 2nd opinion oncologist from UCLH. Unfortunately immunotherapy is a definite no for me. However, he said I have a rare mutation than lung cancer patients normally have. That is a target and there is a possible trial to get on if my chemotherapy is not working. So I suppose that is something.

I had a wonderful time having lunch with friends yesterday. Hopefully will meet them up again next Month.

Today, nothing planned. I think maybe some paperwork …yawn…

Eddie I hope you won’t need chemotherapy for at least an other year.

Alana how are you feeling today?

Have a relaxing day everyone xx
