Hi Stella, as much as I would like to take credit for the support group, my counsellor friend was the driving force behind it
Stella I have 3 kidney stones, and they're happy to do nothing but wait and see, they did advise, if it gets sore go to A&E, no kidding, I have only ever had stents in the arteries around my heart, 7 I think, with no problems, though I appreciate around the kidney is different.
I saw your post to Maria #MariaT, earlier today, Maria and I both have, justified, trust issues with our medical care, and your CT report is sadly familiar to me.
I had a MDT a week ago, we discussed Apalutamide as my next treatment, and the markers on my ribs, which my oncologist was sure they were cancer, I've just received an Email of the minutes of the meeting, you'll like this, it says,
I am willing to start on Enzalutamide, we never mentioned it
We reviewed the scans, true, the MDT team recommended the images do not show any uptake of cancer in the ribs, so why did he say otherwise.
However bone scan is suggestive of cancer deposits in the lower lumber spine, never mentioned at the meeting.
He told me the bone scan he booked was to confirm cancer in my ribs, the Email says its to see if the cancer in my spine is related to my prostate cancer.
I can understand your feeling let down, we need honesty from those responsible for our treatment, but sometimes little mistakes happen, maybe whoever wrote the report saw 5mm x 3cm as 5mm x 3mm, and in the end with all our health issues, kidney stones are not that important
My best wishes for your chemotherapy tomorrow my friend

Wow Stella, Winston's a big boy, he looks much bigger than Poppy, who is sound asleep as we talk, and I hope to be soon myself, sleep well Stella, tomorrow's another day.

Morning everyone!
It's nearly lunchtime, and no-one has posted. Hope everyone is busy doing pleasant things, and not stuck in waiting rooms for appointments!
I'm off to my local cancer drop-in centre this afternoon, for a chat and a massage. I haven't been for a while, so I'm really looking forward to it!
xxx Kate
I don’t often post on this thread but as I have been in a (virtual) waiting room for a lot of this morning - waiting for my quarterly oncology call - I will reply. Because it’s good news again, my scan shows my ablated areas continuing to resolve and no new mets, so on into another 3 monthly watch and wait cycle. I asked if there was a point where I would be reviewed less frequently. Apparently not for some time given I have TNBC.
Hi Puddock, I hope you have a lovely time at the centre, and enjoy your massage, fab.
Best wishes to AllotmentGal and Stella for your treatment today, and to anyone else with appointments, good luck.
My appointments tomorrow have been cancelled, so my times my own till Monday, to catch-up with everything.
Eddie xx
Sorry your appointment is cancelled but on the other hand free time to do what you want is great You must have some treats lined up for yourself? How’s your aunt and partner ? Are they out and about?
Hi Stella, I hope your treatment went well, and your on an ok day, my appointment has only moved to next Monday, and saves me a trip to hospital., so a rest day today, just a few calls and walking Poppy.
Jean and her fiancé, are well, thank you Stella, they're visiting Jean's sister today, as we live in the same village, i will catch up with them later for dinner, I have been told not to make plans for tomorrow, I like surprises. What about you Stella, what are you hoping to do over the next few days?.
Eddie xx
