Hi Angie, good to hear your feeling ok, and the doctors are on top of things, and Lilly is being spoiled, but it's no substitute for cuddling up with mum, I'm ok, thank you, I had an aspiration this morning requested by my neurologist, but all's good, Mandy is great, we went to the seaside yesterday with her boys and tomorrow we both have our MDT meetings, Mandy, we know will be having chemo, I know i will be signing my consent forms for chemo, but I'm hoping for a change of meds first, we shall see, best wishes my friend.
love Eddie xx
Hi Eddie
Hope you and Mandy’s consultations go well tomorrow. What is Mandy’s condition? (If is ok to share).
I had my meeting with the oncologist, he said it depends on the responses to chemotherapy, I probably have 2-5 years. So it is chemo for life from next week onwards.
My husband said I should just carry on as normal and live the best life I can as I just have an additional piece of information than others people. That is all. I suppose he is right!
Good night
Hello Stella
My friend says something very similar to me!
I hope your chemo goes smoothly with no side effects!
xxx Kate
Hi Stella, and thank you for your good wishes, Mandy, has sarcoma of the breast, it was a recurrence from breast cancer over 12 years ago, the 1st consultant we saw gave her 1 year at the most, so we moved hospitals to a hugely respected oncologist, who along with his wonderful team are pretty sure her treatment will cure her.
Stella, how do you feel about your meeting, from my experience a prognosis is only your oncologists guess, usually based on old facts and figures with less effective treatments than we have now. you will find most of the people on here are not interested in their prognoses.
Your husband is a wise man, absolutely make the most of life, sleep well.

Thanks Kate. I will go with the flow and hope for the best. Xx
