Morning all
Just caught up with yesterday’s posts, Ellie you did it again! Beautiful poem from the heart. Would make a great song as Ranie says.
Morton what is your favourite cake? I love coffee and walnut, lemon drizzle and carrot.
Today I am meeting my son in town for a meeting. He is going on holiday with a company that specialise in taking young adults with learning difficulties. I’m so proud of him! He and his friends sorted it out by themselves with only a little bit of help from his dad. One of the perks of this illness is that I can be there. Normally I’d be back at work as a teacher today and wouldn’t be able to go.
Have a great Monday everyone

Good Morning all, got up late took bone tablet, caught up with this morning posts, the dinner yesterday was really good and well worth the money, birthday boy was a bit embarrassed he was not expecting a cake or the 13 of us and all the waiting staff singing happy birthday to him, the other dinners clapped aswell.
Tell you what though I had a pint of Guinness zero excellent.
Excellent camper conversion.
Oh that is a very difficult question cake wise. I do love a bit of caramel shortcake but also any sponge cake with icing and a nice topping. I also have been eating school dinner cake, wee sponge with icing and hundreds and thousands on them, I will pretty much eat anything lol, though i am not a big fan of nuts on a cake, sorry x That is an amazing job your son is doing. Yes take the perks, there aren’t that many but the ones that there are tend to that you get some time with family and friends so enjoy

Good morning to you Morton, my weekend was fairly quiet but I had had a lovely couple of days on Thursday and Friday including a 3 hour brunch with college friends! I love the idea of having cake! Coffee and Cake sums me up to a ‘t’! My other 2 favourite C’s (not my/our illness) are Cats and Chocolate.! I hope you have a lovely walk today and a good rest too - please let us know which cake you have later on today .
Hello Jac, well done to your son and his friends on sorting out their holiday. How exciting! I admire your ‘glass half full’ way of thinking - we don’t have children but I was a workaholic for many years (pressure I put on myself mainly apart from Managers who loved the fact that I didn’t seem to know when to go home!) and in the past year, I have had the pleasure of seeing a lot more of all my nieces and nephews (which is complicated when you all live in different countries!), spending quality time with them and really forming a connection. Enjoy your day with you son - oh and PS, I love carrot cake and also coffee & walnut too. My partner loves Lemon Drizzle and there is a weekly cafe at our local Community Centre where they always serve it as a local lady loves baking it!
My days are never straight forward.
