Moi,.the rare condition of Haemochromatosis that I have is starting to cause OA in my knees and my elbows and my goodness it's painful. Haemachromatosis is caused by a mutated gene in a chromosome in my blood, H63D to be precise.
My body isn't able to deal with iron. Haemachromatosis is loosely called iron overload which is self explanatory or sometimes called the Celtic Curse which again is self explanatory. I was diagnosed about 20.years ago but it's only now that it's starting to bite.
Mrs Tvman suffers from RA. She can't wear her wedding and engagement rings because her knuckles are swollen. She has already had to have them cut off and resized once. RA runs in her family especially in the female side.
Oh, it's great to be getting old!
Tvman xx
