Don't get me going with British Gas, first Smart Metres are ok they don't do anything other than tell you how much you are spending, we've used ours to workout what everything costs to run per hour. The problem is what we are being charged by British Gas, we have dual fuel, last year cost £52 per month July this year £110 per month November now£190. But smart meter read average £2 per day, I've monitored this for 1 year, told will be reviewed in January comming the credit which is substantial will ensure I won't be in debt, meanwhile they are making a fortune and getting interest on my money, complained to ombudsman, waste of time. Grrrrrrrrrrr
