My Heaven. My Hell

Hi All,

Just been watching the BBC programme in which a bunch of celebs do a pilgrimage ( this series was from Ireland to Iona in footsteps of St Columba). I am not religious but I do like to see how people are affected by going on a long walk with a bunch of people of diverse faiths and beliefs. Anyway made me think about what my idea of heaven and hell would be, so I invite you to put in your own thoughts - humourous or serious, over to you.

To start this off

Heaven

A comfy chair in a  library in a peaceful setting, with woodland walks and a lake,  but with access to an ongoing music festival nearby, when I need to dance and laugh.

Hell

Taking part in an ongoing everlasting reality show with celebs and a maniacal audience.

I can only agree absolutely with you OBS. Just one thing, you will need your dogs?

  • Heaven

Tranquil, calm, siting on  beach, feet just touching the calm water, and being with the ones i love the most. No House work.

    Hell

Noise, mobile phones, Rude People, and Idiots.

I agreed with OBS, now I find I must agree with you Ellie!.

Will I ever hold my own opinion? Xx

  • No you are just trying to keep every one happy.

  • Hi Ted You are easily swaying but both OBS and Ellie's ideas seem good to me too!

    Love Annette x

Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery, Today is a Gift!!!
  • Well my Heaven>>> i can see and talk to my mum and dad and other ppl they have already gone...on a beach in the shade with a drink.

    Hell...i agree with Ellie.

  • My Heaven is being by the sea with my family watching my grandchildren play, then home to read a good thriller sitting in the garden.

Heĺl ìs I can't stand fake people who are just out for there own ends.

  • I enjoyed watching the people going on the walk together and the different personalities x

This is very interesting. I missed that, might see if it's on iPlayer. I'm not very religious either but it is something interesting to think about. For me I suppose it is:

    Heaven:

Seeing mum again and giving her a huge hug. Want to be with all the family. And I imagine it will be a really sunny and warm place, no pain, no fear, just happiness and laughter.

    Hell:

    Agree with Ellie.

    Best wishes,

    Jess xx

  • Heaven: going back in time and getting the job of being The Eagles tour photographer. [I know, I'm a one-trick pony!]

Hell: I've already been to several hells and they're all here. I prefer to avoid the holy.

Having to watch day-time TV in a care-home would certainly be hell.
