Have you folks run across greeting/empathy cards by Emily McDowell for people with serious illnesses? Saw them online, thought I'd share for a laugh. Hope pics work:

  • Thanks Patricia. I can relate to and particularly like the fourth one and can think of just the person I could have sent it to.  Rainie x

  • Oh I love them. I've made a note of the artist.

I've got to respond again, they are just the best thing I think I've ever seen!

  • Hi . I know what you mean. As a Community Champion I've often used the expression starting on your journey to welcome new members to the community but I don't any more.

    New Year hugs, B xx

It might help some people to use that phrase MrsB, please don't stop using it on my account. To be honest I can't really be offended anymore. Just touchy now and again, I expect we all are. Xxx

  • Love these.  I can relate to them, especially when going through initial treatment

  • But if on your journey, you come across a lemon tree, then it is there for a reason and you can use the juice to add flavour to otherwise disgusting tasting food, and it may be a miracle food in itself, as I read on a website somewhere.

Some right b******s spoken by people isnt there? My daughter worked in Spain at a retreat type place, and every year a detox group used it. My daughter was sitting nearby when one of the women picked up an olive which had landed ner her plate and said something along the lines of " I wonder what this olive means". Daughter refrained from saying " it means  you are sitting under an olive tree" .

Expletive deleted brilliant OBS and the olive anecdote is of our time unfortunately.

But those cards, our Patrica has played a binder with those. ( although she has failed to mention my birthday today. She will probably use that old chestnut ' I didn't know, you didn't tell me' as if they are good enough excuses!

  • Happy Birthday - am sure you have made the most of good excuse for drinking, eating and being merry.
