Hi all. I've been having pain in my liver the last week or two. I know I have mets in my liver and have been put on letrazole and ribociclib to try and regain control. The thing is I'm getting more pain even though I have been on these drugs 3 months now. Any one else had the same effects and does this mean its not working?
Finding it difficult to concentrate on anything else at the moment, as the pain is sharp and then goes again and I find myself waiting for the next one so I'm prepared for it., bit it still makes me jump. It's like a stabby pain.
I hope the rest of you are all OK.
Sorry to hear this. Hope you get on ok with the new meds xxx
Hi lily, hope the tablets do the job, and the pain eases for you soon. Xx
Thank you. I am trying to stay upbeat and positive about it all, they assure me that they have plenty of ammo in the arsenal of medication if this doesn't work. So it will be trial and error for a while I think. I am managing the pain for now so fingers crossed this will do the trick. I'm so glad I have all of you to talk to. Some people just don't understand what this is like.
I’m glad you are managing the pain ok.
i have shoulder pain which I think is referred liver met pain.
good luck with the new medication.
i have decided not to take any more chemo tablets xxx
Is there other treatments you can take?
I do sometimes get shoulder pain. But I know I have bone mets there aswell so can't be sure weather it's that or the referred liver pain.
I have had bad side effects to with chemo tablets in the past. Any tablets or chemo would only work for a short time for me.
I am glad I had the radiotherapy which has helped my headaches.
it is really symptom relief for me now.
i do keep up with the research that is going on now.
i do think my shoulder pain is referred pain xxx
Hi Ruth
I admire you for getting out and about with friends, off to the pub for lunches, holidays and walking the dog regularly. I just wonder, and if it's none of my business tell me, what could or will be the consequence of stopping the chemo?
Tvman xx
I'm glad you did the RT...and your head feels better, good thing is it will keep working for a while longer.
