Be prepared to eat humble pie, commoner SiT. My Mum worked on the secret telephones in the Court Post room and wherever the Queen was my Mum had to be. 

The Ghillies ball is held once a year at Balmoral, my Mum went on the Royal train, my Dad didn't want to fly so we drove all the way there, bloody miles.

Been to all the palaces although I don't remember anyone asking after you especially Princess Margaret who I had a nice long chat with on her birthday at Kensington Palace. Do you give up yet, feignites is the expression?
