I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.
So
1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.
2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.
3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.
I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

Wow an other OAP welcome to the club, just living the dream?
We drive to Taunton yesterday to meet up with a friend for a pub lunch
the weather stayed dry and warm
another trip out locally today,
i watched the Kathy Burke programme about money and found it very interesting
The rich and privileged make the decisions about how much the poor have not ever knowing what it is to be poor.

HIruthjp , I'd like to follow you around, you get all the good weather!
Keep smiling Ruth and keep letting us know about the local pubs. I'm hopefully going to Cambridgeshire on Monday if I don't get a phone call saying I'm still neutropenic and yet if I'm only just into the neutropenic range I'll probably go. I
Have a lovely weekend Ruth

Hi All,
Just back from 2 weeks in Scarborough where the whole family had a great time!
1 Prestige Accessible Caravan very comfortable and within sight of the swing park our grandchildren went to every day and used us as a "stop in" for drinks, snacks and toilet breaks. Fantastic.
2 Weather terrific during the day and hot. Some days too hot for me. When it rained, it was during the night when we were all in bed! Magic!
3 Toured around the area, Scarbourgh, Filey, Bridlington, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay. All great days out. Going for a family lunch to celebrate our daughter's 45th birthday! Oh where have the years gone!!
There we're many more highlights like meeting up with Gragon, paddling in the sea, having lots ice cream and going on a speed boat! Get the picture?? We had a fantastic time with great company and good weather!
Love Annette x
