I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.
So
1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.
2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.
3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.
I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

How lovely to have such a good holiday. I am jealous of the swimming I haven’t managed to go yet but you have encouraged me.
Wales is beautiful we are going to try for a trip to the Gower this week just for a day
hopefully tomorrow when the rain stops.
xx

Glad you managed to find more than 3 good things and they do sound lovely. But down days come too - and like the weather, hopefully they pass.
Hope you have more good things to fill your days.
This thread has slipped down the list, so to keep it on top, my 3 good things:
Was listening to radio 4 slot at 9.45 to Richard Mabey, he was talking about woodpeckers , so I was just lamenting lack of sighting of one in my garden for months, then lo and behold, there he was. He returned again an hour ago
Lovely wander around local wildlife reserve pool - almost nobody there, sun shining and peace was lovely.
Kathy Burke prog about money - she called Boris Johnson exactly what I do! I am in good company.
oh, and I received my first ever Retirement pension today!
Luckily due to Boris and his remarkable efforts with the economy, you can probably afford a banana with your pension payout.
He says kind words about you too. ,
Been a bit quiet as on holiday with no Wi-Fi and minimal phone signal.
1. Managed to drive 300 miles to Cornwall with no back issues
2. only got caught in the rain once since last Saturday
3. 10 months ago I could not walk unaided and even with a walking stick I could only manage 20 steps. Today I walked 12650 steps with no aids at all
a very happy and totally knackered Richard now
Richard
