I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.

So

1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.

2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.

3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.

I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

  • Hi Annette

All good things come to an end but memories remain.

Glsd to hear you had a wonderful time Annette. Holidays with the family are best. I'm enjoying my holiday with my daughter and family. Nine week old Lucy is beautiful when she smiles. Of course she's beautiful even when she doesn't smile.

Perhaps tomorrow the image button will be back (I'm in the wrong area for that but I keep falling asleep.)

    Love life and family.
  • Sounds a lovely holiday. I enjoy staying in caravans with young children it works well with them being able to run around xxx

  • I thought it was time for this thread to return to the first page. Here are my latest three good things:

    1. Discovered Waitrose 50% grapefruit juice squash. Wonderful and not too sweet.

2.Had a wonderful overnight stay which included a fantastic afternoon tea served in the room with a bottle of chilled prosecco, free parking so no stress about the car, a lovely room with posh toiletries and a super breakfast next morning. Gave us both a big lift to the spirits and we were able to have a walk around town after the shops had shut when it was nice and quiet. Felt liberated.

3.Found out the reason my eyesight was blurry was that I'd had the same prescription lenses for 5 years! How did that happen and where did 5 years go then? Anyway I bought some new frames. What the heck?

Hope you are enjoying the warmth.

You did consider the effect prossecco has on your eyesight before you bought new designer frames I hope?

You are getting back to normal life with these things, have loads more.

  • Those are Very good three things. Over night stay sounds good.

we are celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary on Friday and are having some friends over for a BBQ in the garden

usual trip to the pub today to sit outside in  The shade and chat to the locals with our dog.

phoned palliative care about increasing my zomorph

  • Have a lovely day on Friday. Our local is busting with holidaymakers so feel too uncomfortable with so many people about. We have a nice cold beer in the garden sometimes which is lovely, though since my surgery drinking gassy drinks is a problem and I pay for it afterwards. Hope you are comfortable ruthjp.

  • Lovely to have a beer in the garden.

I have had a call back from palliative care and the consultant will speak to me tomorrow to see if the increase in zomorph has helped x

the headache usually happens at  5 p.m. x
