I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.
So
1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.
2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.
3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.
I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

Three good things.
1. Found a little dog in the garden, no tag but hunted down the owner. Just moved in two doors up. They rescued it from Spain. No wonder it took no notice of my English accent!
2. Our potential buyers have asked dozens more survey questions but they are supposedly coming to measure up next Tuesday, so hopefully sale still on.
3. Found some cracking new Tena for Men underwear. If I get run over now I will be acceptably dressed!
Toodlepip.
Fingers crossed for the house move Norbs. They say a dog chooses it's owner, he might be back soon.
Hi that is good news re buyers - hope they are amenable to bats and your move can go ahead smoothly as I am sure you are anxious to get on with the move. Shame the dog had owners - might have solved your dilemma with which sort of dog to get. Mind you foreign rescue dogs have a habit of escaping as they often had very free ranging lives in Spain etc. One rescue kennel here has a 14 year old Romanian dog which they agreed to keep as it was forever escaping from its new home here - the little devil, despite being ancient and ricketty, is still always looking for her chance to escape, despite being fed, kennelled in luxury and enjoying the devotion of the staff.
Glad you will be able to follow the advice re always having clean underwear in case of runaway buses.
We would have loved to have that dog, it was a cross JRT and some sort of Spanish terrier.
Had plenty of water but turned its nose up to a nice hobnob, its owner said it was very fussy, last time I offer it any goodies!
I can see your point about foreign rescues, wouldn't put us off though.
Isn't it funny that us of a certain age remember our Mums sayings ---- being respectable if you are run over and - it dosnt matter how old it is as long as its clean!

Good views sale is still on.
good to help out a stray dog xx

Good you managed to reunite the doggy. Our buyers asked a ridiculous amount of questions but still bought in the end so fingers crossed for you.
my mum always said make sure you have clean underwear in case you get run over. I always replied if I step off the curb and realise there is a car coming it won’t matter how clean my underwear was when I left the house lol

be safe, be nice, be you
1. Finally got date for scan - next Sunday and appointment with oncologist on 7th July which means the 3 months wait is nearly over. 2. Managed to climb up Becky Falls on Dartmoor with my son and grandson struggled a bit but felt good because I didn't struggle because of the cancer but because of my little legs which are not designed for climbing boulders in waterfalls - I really need to grow a bit more. 3. It's fathers day tomorrow and I can actually go and see my father
That’s good.
well done for climbing. Dartmoor is beautiful.
I have had a couple of nice meals out and Rogers brother drove from Dartmoor to visit us and we all went out to a lovely country pub for lunch where we could take the dog.
we are going to see our daughter today. First time since her wedding . It is so lovely to be able to see people properly again and go out to the pub with them,
we actually had a football match that had lots of goals and the tennis has been good with our man Cameron Norrie
