I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.

So

1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.

2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.

3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.

I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

I’m glad you mentioned the new headings  I’ve been struggling to keep track of some of the posts. 2 weeks in Scarborough  with the family sounds wonderful! It’s so important to have things to look forward to.

I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy this beautiful weather and be strain free & pain free xx

Keep three good things under three good things, all the rest under chat. That will assist us members with less agile minds . Dont castigate me, I'm not well you know.

  • Well is this where three good things go, not sure

No 1 Have finished Radiotherapy horary knocked me for six  but done now.

No 2 Woke up felt a little better been out cut grass before sun broke threw, back in doors by 9.30

No 3 Had  to make a phone call regarding the internet, well the person was shouting at me like i was stupid, might be old but not stupid, well after he got a mouthful back he was as nice as pie.  I have never done that before might not be the last.

    Have a good day.

Thats one big thing out of the way.

Nice to get out in the garden, strimmed my friends little lawn today.

Shout at everyone who deserves it and some who don't.

When I used to say to my Mum, "it wasn't me", she used to say, "well thats for the next time it is"

A little few days relaxing time for you now. Xxxx

  • Hi Norbert, my mam used to say that to me, brought a smile to my face, thanks.

You know what ...... all our Mums were the same back then, not the same now unfortunately.  I know I'm not allowed to say it but a good whack and a telling off kept you out of trouble, generally speaking!

You made me smile as well thanks.

Some good things and one not.

Just spoke with SiT. He is completely cream crackered and not really up to posting but sends his regards to his many chums. He did say not to include me in that!

Just done a bit of weeding, trying to keep the garden nice for our buyers.

Don't know why  I bothered as last night we got questions following the survey on our house. Got bats in the loft so that's that. We do like bats but would have preferred them to have kept themselves discreet. Little furry buggers!

A first world problem I know, a lot of people would like to live in any house, bats or not. That homily should reflect well on me with OBS!

  • O dear there must be a way of moving the bats

environment health may be able to help x
