I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.
So
1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.
2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.
3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.
I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

The bad bits are bad but the good bits are really, really good I’ve just introduced the family to an Australian card game “F**K the game” and that’s been a big hit, probably not so much with your maiden aunt but definitely with a couple of cold ones in the mix. You should never have to apologise for having fun

That baking looks yum. Made me get out my recipe books. RD.
I've had a surfeit of good things since my scan came back 'dormant' and I discovered from Remoh I'm now 'stable mabel'. So from that here are my 3 good things from the weekend:
1. Booked up some treats to look forward to - a little B&B break; a meal out and a family visit (all before my next scan!)
2. Sitting out in the garden with a cuppa and some shortbread feeling the warmth of the sun making me relax and feel happy, whilst listening to the birds.
3. Being able to put my favourite jeans back on because they no longer fall down - I've put on a bit of weight and my hair has started growing again, although it looks rubbish.
Good wishes to you all.
RD
Hi RD, I've just read your recent post and scan results are fantastic, good for you "Mabel" I hope it lasts for a very long time to come!
1. Recently I saw my best friend for a cuppa and catch up. It's been a long time since we've done that and I've missed it.
2 Had lunch with our daughter yesterday, just the two of us, again for the first time in a while.
3 Between Sunday and yesterday I've seen all three of our grandchildren.
At the end of this month, the school holidays start in Scotland and my husband and I have booked 3 Deluxe Caravans near Scarbourgh for us all for two weeks. Children are all so excited! This was booked November 19 for June 2020 but had to be rearranged for this year. It was what I wanted instead of a party or anything for my 70th birthday last year!
With all these new headings now, it is harder keeping up with the chat unless you read everything.
Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely weather and are as well as you can be. Especially Tinalay, Ellie & SiT and anyone else who has been through the wars!
Love Annette x
Good to have such family support.
lovely to look through holiday photos.
we hope to go back to Kefalonia in September.
my chat with my oncologist showed growth of lung mets but the head MRI has nor been reported on so I will get a phone call Tuesday evening after their MDT meeting. He wants me to stop the ATRA but continue it for another week until they get the MRI results.
