I know that started this brilliant idea so I wanted to carry it on for her and as the forum has become a little gloomy recently as we face loosing them both soon.

So

1. daloni and dizzie outlasted their prognosis by years and I am sure proved that you can have quality of life despite doctors best guesses and we all benefited from knowing them on here.

2. I just got back from a fabulous holiday in Galicia, northern Spain. I walked more than I have for months (chemo pushed me into a wheelchair) the food and wine was fab and I met old friends and laughed a lot.

3. Macmillan have admitted that their upgrade has been a bit sh*t and are working on improving it. Hurrah for Macmillan who have admitted it didn't go well. How many organisations actually come out and say that.

I don't like to think that newbies think that we are a miserable lot, what struck me on here when I came was how much joy, laughter and living went on despite cancer.

3 good things, another really good day Blush

Had a test run of a power chair and then bit the bullet and bought a refurbished one from a local company. It’s perfect for me in every way & fits in to  a space inside like a glove.

Organised a cleaner who’s also a friend. My OH is great, but neither if us are domestic gods/goddesses.

Booked a PT session with a local therapist who’s also a remedial sports masseur. He’s lovely, very funny and I don’t ever have to do another burpee again!
    1st vaccination today. xx

  • Sounds like a very good day. Pleased for you xx

Properly GOOD Tina - keep 'em coming'!!!

  • Good luck with your vaccination today @tinalay. Glad to hear you have and like a chair. My grandson automatically sat on my left knee when we went anywhere and I was able to use it. I haven't seen him physically for a year but I fear he may be too heavy now.

    Tvman xx

    Love life and family.

    Another really good day!

Took the chair out with my sister as chaperone & nailed slow speed control so felt very safe.

Beautiful day, lovely to see kids in the park & lots of dog walkers.

My OH is fitting ramps for getting in & out of the house.

Had 2 deliveries of tulips & some chocolate brownies Yum

    xx

  • Sounds like a lovely living in the moment type day.

    My 3 good things,

walk through park to collect drugs ( legal) from hospital and sun shone and was too warm!

Another walk with my son around local country park, even warmer!

Crocuses growing on local green, lovely yellows and purples and just how a child's drawing looks.

    Tina,

What a day out, I am so pleased it is all working out.

    Staffy Lady,

a bullseye day for you too.

I took the leaves from the top of my two small ponds today, now the goldfish can see the herons. But the herons have learnt the sound of a gun being cocked so no chance of them going on the compost heap just yet!

Of course I wouldn't shoot a heron. I do swear a lot at them though and would like to put a big elastic band on their beak.

I had a koi pond in my last house, and the herons would stand right in the water. We also see them a lot on the canals. They take many ducklings.

    Horrible, prehistoric things they are.
