Sorry for the long post  was diagnosed last year was told treatable but not curable had 4 rounds of chemotherapy then debulking surgery then another 3 rounds of chemotherapy then went on to evert 3 weeks of bevacizumab  finished treatment in June this year I am no evidence of disease.

Having follow ups every 3 months of blood test and consultant.

I am feeling lost not knowing what to look out for as had no symptoms until it went to lining of lung.

I know I should feel grateful that I am in remission but its the fact been told it will come back

Not really sure how I should be as still got a few side affects from chemotherapy.

Have made one thing that I am not returning back to work as want to spend time with friends and family and see people I wouldn't see if I was working

  • Hi  and welcome across to this corner of the community.

My story is very different….. and obviously me being a man a totally different type of cancer (See my story)

It looks like you have taken control of how you are going to move forward, I retired from my teaching job at 55 as the stress was having an effect on my rare incurable Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (NHL)…… I did not plan fir a second very aggressive type of NHL to appear in late 2013….. so this ment a few years of some very intense treatments but I am told that my aggressive NHL is most likely not going to show its face again and my incurable one is fast asleep so I cant go around kissing a princess.

Navigating this journey can be challenging but you may want to look at our….,, Living with incurable cancer - incurable patients only ……, support group.

This group will connect you with others who are on the incurable rollercoaster and Akways to you see how others are living life despite their diagnosis.
