I have been offered a job and accepted, been treating it out to see if I able able to cope with it all physically, very tiring but want to commit and carry on with it, hopefully get through the fatigue and slowly get better.
I am currently on benefits (ESA), never been on them before so I don’t know the protocol in going back to work. Do I have to inform the job centre (didn't deal with them to claim) or when my details go in with the work accountant, does that cover all bases and I don’t need to do anything else?
Hi Cuppatea
Congratulations on being offered the job. I hope that the fatigue improves for you.

Usually the work accountant will handle the info for benefits, but it can’t hurt to double-check with the job centre so there are no surprises. When I was starting a new role after being on ESA, I also took some online courses—like how Sterile Processing University offers online modules—to ease back into a routine and feel more confident. It helped me pace myself and manage the fatigue while learning something useful at the same time.
