One of the best things I did, several months ago, was to join a singing group of Cancer Sufferers.
Even though it's predominantly women, they wer entirely inclusive from the start and there is so much fun and enjoyment generated, that it is ALWAYS uplifting and energising, allowing you to put aside the C thing for a couple of hours.
Recently, we performed to a paying audience, expecting minimal attendance, but played to a packed church and raised a significant amount, to help continue the sessions.
Next Friday, we are shortlisted for the "Proud of Barnsley Awards", which is a testament to the dedication of our Founders and Organisers!
It REALLY helps to mix with others in similar situations to yourselves......
Hi , (love the name by the way) you sound like you really enjoy this and get a lot of satisfaction from it . I noticed your post after I’ve asked for new hobby ideas in the chat area. I’ve not finished treatment yet and I’m feeling it’s been going on for so long.
I would like to hear of any hobbies that has brought enjoyment, I’ll put in a link to my discussion if you don’t mind in case you or anyone else has some ideas.
Best wishes
Take care KT
