    Hi Artsie

Thank you for your kind message and hope you are well.

Well, I suppose people deal with things in their own way - having said that, that's probably why most are chatting on here, as only people who have been through such awful procedures, will understand.

The Consultant actually phoned me on my landline and twice on my mobile phone, to explain that he had been delayed in surgery and would be seeing me after my CT scan.

Are there any rooms here where you can discuss things like hobbies etc.?

  • Hi fatz

im really pleased that your consultant explained the reason for his cancellation

I myself cancelled people when I had my lung op  my heart showed off and I was in the theatre much longer than I should have been

I used to be in a group here and put my art up but I can not find it

I will keep looking and let you know when I find it

There’s lots of places to express yourself

The Rooms a good one to enter shout and slam the door on your way out

    Take care

  • Hi Ann

I’ve put a couple of links here to other groups where members chat

    Express Yourself

    Cancer Chat Forum

    Animals are Family Too Forum

    The Room

There used to be a catch up thread for chit chat in the bowel group too-not sure if that’s still active.

  • Hi Ann

Struggling on here! I’m no artist but have seen a lot of adverts recently for paint by numbers kits so thinking I might do that to while away the cold wintry days that are coming. And continuing with my writing-I’m doing a book thing for my youngest daughter, with stories from my younger days and family history.

Life hasn’t been easy this year-had a stroke in March, so had a blue lighted ambulance trip, but recovered well from it thank goodness. Had my (hopefully) last appointment connected with that yesterday with the eye clinic. All seems to be ok there, but need a general eye health check at the opticians.

The good news to report is becoming a grandma to a gorgeous girl, and I’ve had 3 holidays this year with another one next month.

How’s everything going with you? Hope you are both keeping well.

  • Aw Sarah.

Firstly congratulations on your new Granddaughter.

    What a blessing.

    Sending you hugs

So sorry to hear of your health problems you certainly need as many holidays as you can fit in.

    Just go for it.

    Enjoy my friend

Thank you Ann - what medium do you work in?

    fatzHugging

  • Well. I’m off everything at the moment. The NHS was watercolour but I’d paint with anything. I’ve chalk painted on lampshades using home made stencils. It helped me  get through a really bad time.
