Hi everyone
Dont know if its the light mornings but Im really feeling the effects of lack of sleep through emptying my stoma bag in the night.not too bad if it happens whilst still dark but after dawn its hopeless getting back to sleep.
Probably no real answer, just needed to vent a little.
Kath
Hi Kath. It was my 5 year stomaversary on the 17th. I did say "happy birthday" when I woke up that day. Didn't have cake or wine though. Shame!
Kim
Love to hear of another long term anniversary Kim- congratulations! I would have celebrated with a cake or glass of wine or both!

Thanks everyone. I can't remember what life was like before it now!
Kim
Yep. I’ve got 2 of them and can’t remember what it was like to sit on the loo!

Personally, I prefer the way I am now. If my surgeon called me tomorrow and said that by some miracle it could be reversed, I would say no thanks I'll keep it. It just became normal really quickly.
Kim
If I had something that could be reversed, I wouldn’t have it done. I’m so used to it that I wouldn’t want another surgery now even if it were possible.

Same here.I had Interstital cystitis for over 30 yrs so the urostomy got rid of that as well as bladder cancer. It’s good to be out of daily pain.Jane x
