Hi all,
I hope everyone is okay.
I have the hiccups which started about 10 minutes ago and I am worried.
I have a colostomy, urostomy, radiation enteritis and a prolapsed pelvis and I am worried about the hiccups causing any problems.
Does anyone know how to stop them too, please?
With love and good vibes.

Yes. I’ve suffered with them all my life so I’ve tried every known method.
You’re probably okay now but here goes for future reference
Drink a glass of water from wrong side of rim with head upside down so water hits roof of mouth (Best done over washable floor)
Hold breathe. sometimes works. Not often
Suck a lemon.
This I discovered after trying all above in desperation I cut a quarter and sucked it. To my amazement it worked
Hope alls good with you now
Ann
Hi Artsie Ann,
Thank you for your reply and the helpful tips in regards to the hiccups and I am glad you have found a solution to help you and when you have hiccups.
After I did the post, thankfully they stopped.
I haven’t had them since I have had my stomas and it worries me but I guess I was being nervous.
Thank you and sending you love and good vibes,
