I find the outward surface of my Stoma Bag ( cotton in appearance ) gets wet and stays wet.
If I were to redress at the top IE my vest and shirt etc they would get wet so I change the bag.
Any tips etc please.
Thanks Chromeplated.
I usually change my bag after my shower, but if not, I dry it with a hairdryer after patting dry with a towel. It dries very quickly. Just don’t hold the hairdryer too close or have it too hot.
Ditto. Found best way shower alternative days. Change bag every other day as have Ileostomy I showered in hospital and was In soaking wet clothes all day! To drugged to care though.
I shower when changing bag as I like to keep bag on when washing keeping soap away from my stoma.

I’m the same usually Ann- try not to get soap in my stomas so usually keep them on for the shower. Plus I’m not keen on the urostomy going all the time, and definitely not keen on cleaning poo from the plug hole!

Exactly. I know whoopi would be extremely active if I gave her freedom.
Just coming back from St Ives. Should of heard her singing away at breakfast table. I gave her yogurt that didn’t help. Twas hilarious when I started full English. She always seems louder when I’m out. She’s like a naughty child

Ha! A full English creates a lot of noise and activity for me! But worth it from time to time. Saw a picture of your view on another thread and it looked gorgeous. Hope you’ve had a lovely little battery recharge.

That’s fantastic Ann! So pleased you are getting to travel again-we’ve all been hindered by COVID for too long.
We paid our balance yesterday for our dream trip for my 60th birthday in a few months.. Little bit of anxiety in the back of my head as it’s our first long trip since Boris and Donald, but I’m going to try to keep my positive and determined head on that I can cope with 2 flights there!

You can do it Sarah. Just don’t give them anything that they can throw back at you
Hey. I’ve been sent some crystals that I can put in the opening off my bag before flying. I haven’t tried it yet but may be ideal for your flights I think it’s to help with watery output like Ileostomy’s. I will keep you posted.
