I find the outward surface of my Stoma Bag ( cotton in appearance ) gets wet and stays wet.
If I were to redress at the top IE my vest and shirt etc they would get wet so I change the bag.
Any tips etc please.
Thanks Chromeplated.
And I’ll remember that no-one will know me!
I’ll be interested to hear about these crystals and how you get on. Typically my output is quite thick, but not always, so I’m always looking for new tips and tricks!

Yes Sarah I did think that it’s designed for loose liquid output. I was told it adsorbs and turns into a jelly type that slides out easily
It may be handy if you’re loose when you’re travelling
Do you know I’ve just had a thought if someone had said to me last year that I’d be talking about poo a lot I would of thought them nut's
I will try one out and let you know how it works
Ann
I’ve heard of these crystals but don’t know anything about them so I’m interested to learn more. Honestly, I’ve talked more about poo in the last 2 years than I ever did in my whole life! I never thought much about it before...
I know when I travelled the first time, I was definitely “loose” due to stress! Anything that helps is useful. Thank you.

Still on the subject of wet stoma bags
In non covid times we like to holiday in gites in france preferably with a pool.If spending the morning alternately swimming and relaxing how do you cope with the wet bag.do you rely on the sun to dry it thro your costume?or do you just stay damp until you get changed later?
Just a querie for the future
Kath
Hi Kath
The last time I was in the sun doing exactly that I was wearing a tankini-just dried off after the pool and lay on the sunbed on another dry towel and let the warmth of the sun do its work. I would go to the loo and empty my urostomy bag periodically, but the colostomy bag just stayed there. Everything was well “held in” by the tankini bottoms and I didn’t find it an issue at all. Even before bags, I quite often dried off in the sunshine.
Hi Artsie
Yes, I thought they were a good idea but my stoma nurse was adamant I should sort the diet/imodium out first, trouble is the imodium didn't have any effect whatsoever, so I went ahead and tried them anyway. Never looked back, they give you so much more confidence. Hope you get on with them too.
Best wishes x
