Hi I'm 47 got diagnosed with bowel cancer last July, had the cancer removed in December and now have a temporary stoma.Me myself have coped really well with having one,im not letting it get me down as I look at the fact it saved my life having .The problem isn't me its my husband he told me the other day he doesn't cope well with me having one.Which has left me feeling very down. Just wondering if anyone else has had to deal with this ?
Thank you,its been a long journey ,but so happy it's over.It time to live life now
Definitely. I’m all for that. Covids been limiting us for too long. Time to get out and about especially with the spring approaching
Ann
All the best to you .must admit the sun does put a spring in your step.xx
It definitely does. Had my follow up six months today. Have six months before a reversal may happen. I’m planning on lots of weekend trips and Spain this month. I am not waiting for reversal. Whoopi (stoma) is okay my little life saver.
Enjoy the spring. Though it’s still very cold

Glad to hear it's not stopping you doing anything.I went to Spain in October ,first time away with Steve ( stoma) was very anxious but he behaved and I had an amazing time in the sun.Off to Aya napa in June but this time stoma free xxx
Wow. That’s given me some confidence. Today Whoopi has had a blow out all over my nice clothes I really hope she’s not showing me what she’s going to do in Spain.
Luckily my brothers booked a villa for us so I can relax without being to worried once I get there AyaNapa is going to hot in June. Bikini time. Xx

I wish haven't got the body for a bikini anymore lol.Had many a blow out ,even had one the morning of my reversal just as I was going into theatre, Steve definitely wanted to go out with a bang x
Well Tankinis are so much better anyway. I find they definitely are the best when needing to go to the toilet.
it’s funny because I hadn’t thought about the wording before around leaks and pancaking but Whoopi has definitely moved on to blow out.
Sounds like Steve was very similar.
