How do you get your supplies?

SECURICARE is a very reliable company and offers a good reliable service with friendly staff. All the other supply companies offer a similar service, It is your choice where you go to, you just have to advise your stoma care nurse and GP.

I have used Securicare for more years than I care to mention and by using their in house pharmacy service Pharmacare you can have your stoma and medical supplies delivered to your home once a month.

If you have not set up an online account which makes it easy to order your repeat items, you just have to enter in your items on the first month and subsequent monthly orders take seconds to place as all you have to do is pull up you last order and add the items to your basket, then review them making sure you have amended the quantities to the quantity you want, remember to include your dry wipes (large, medium 8" x 8" or small 4" x 4") and the packs of disposal bags, you also have the option of asking for a pack of disposable bed padss every month. You will be given a few chances to check your order before you place it. Securicare will check your order and make a request for an electronic prescription to be issued, once they receive the prescription they will start to build your order ready for despatch . A lot of the time is taken up getting the request to the GP, the GP authorising and sending it back, about a week and normally within two weeks you will receive a message stating your package will be delivered the next day, and the next a further message with your hour delivery slot.

I've never been let down once.

Just for your information I've used every supply company that it is possible to use and would not change again.

I really do get excellent service from the team that looks after me. They are so confident that I won't use them that I have many of the girls direct extension numbers, but the emergency hasn't arisen that I needed to use one

I can't see you going far wrong by sticking with them and setting up an account. 

Coloplast are manufacturers who supply under the name Coloplast Charter

Convatec are also manufacturers and they supply under different names of companies they have bought out over the years.

B Braun also manufactures and supplies under Emerald.

No matter which product you order from the many manufacturers your chosen supplier can supply everything you need so you don't have to worry about continuance of supply when your order is due to be delivered it will have everything you need unless there is manufacturing problem then you supply company will suggest an alternative product, so you can rest easily in your bed knowing that Securicare will have your best interests at heart and be striving to maintain their excellent service please trust me I'm the BODACH.

Good to hear from you! I've only had a couple of conversations with the people at Securicare and they have been incredibly helpful and absolutely lovely. I just wondered how people manage their supplies and what works for them.

To my mind, it makes sense to keep everything in one place, it makes life easier and is one less thing to have to organise.
