Last year in February, I had a temporary stoma. In January this year, my consultant said I can have a reversal and 6 weeks later I had my pre-op. I haven’t heard anything since so I was wondering if anyone knows how long is the waiting list for a reversal?

Thabk you :)

  • Hope today goes well .

Reversal op and muscle reshape (Lost it in peritonitis issue post chemo all good.

cheerio Stan!  Just released crop post op and into general ward

interesing closure of stoma - single piece of stitch round the hole  that  will simply Pull round and out

hope epidural will last the pace - no pain

i now need to build up to eating and passing

    Hugging

Thanks all for the help around all things ileostomy over last 15 months

    cheers

  • Well done . Sounds a similar wound closure to mine - the surgeon described it as like a purse string then they pull it up like a cats bum!

Take the eating very very slowly - I was a bit gung ho and had a bit of Cornish pasty ( didn’t manage the crust) and the projectile vomiting started the next day so start on liquids and build up.

    Take care
