    Hi All

Just took a call from Dr at the hospital to say me chemo is postponed cos my bloods show some abnormality in my liver. He took another look at my CT scan and said some deposits on my liver so got to go for MRI scan. Asked if I had been drinking more than usual which I have as I was on holiday in Italy the week before & did drink everyday. Has anyone else something like this? I'm so worried now.

Hi Wiggy and Cherylle, don't worry, it becomes second nature after a while. I am on no 15 out of 20 wks tomorrow and believe it or not I find it more of an inconvienience now more than anything. Do stay up beat and positive, it helps so much. As you have probably gathered I am a bit of a nutter but it has helped me so much to try and keep living a normal life between zaps, normalitity is so important. Godd luck xxxxxx

    Hi Wiggy,

I’m so sorry you’ve got extra worry now with your liver. Please try not to worry too much (which I know is impossible) but it may be nothing. Like you said you had been drinking more than usual because of your holiday. Lets hope they don’t keep you waiting long to put your mind at rest. As I haven’t experienced this i can’t offer you any advice or comfort I’m afraid. Hopefully someone else will come along who can help. Please let us know when you have your scan and how it all goes. Big hugs and all my best wishes x

Cheryl it’s good news that your heart scan was ok and you can move forward. Good luck with chemo, I hope it’s kind to you x

Paula your camping trip sounds like it was excellent. I love the photo x

Well that’s my pre-assessment for Radiotherapy done and dusted but they still didn’t give me my start date, instead it’s coming through the post! Oh well I can wait, i'm getting used to it.

    Hope you’re all ok

Hi Kev, nice to see you around. I have had two letters apologising as they haven't made a decision but have wrote to my surgeon, not sure if this is good or bad news. I will appeal if turned down.xx

    Hi All,

It’s been a while! Have dipped in & out of this thread from time to time though & often look in on the site in general.. Hope you are all doing ok!! Sorry for those who are going through the mill a bit at the moment whether due to illness or personally.

Just thought I’d drop in for a quick update & let you know I haven’t forgotten you all..I do think about you often.

Sis’s operation is still being planned, but was finally ok’d on her private medical insurance, although she may have to pay a chunk towards it. She has finally settled on having a tug flap reconstruction, which is where they take skin & muscle from the inner thighs rather than the stomach or back. She will have the other breast removed & then reconstruction of both done at the same time. Her surgeon put her in touch with someone who has had this done & they were full of absolute praise for it. It’s a fairly long op apparently and she will need to take a couple of months off work & from what she was told the first couple of weeks after are the worst due to the wounds at the top of the legs i.e. difficulty in being able to get about. She is off to see the surgeon in London on the 14th, so she will hopefully have more news after that. We’re also waiting to hear about going to a support group meeting down there..for me aswell as my sis, as if I do decide to take the gene test & it proves positive, this would be a route I may want to take. Still pondering that one though..

Chelle, Jean, Margaret, Blossom, Heather & everyone else (so many people on here now).. Best wishes to you all!! I will have a read back to have a proper catch up & will come back soon to let you know how things are going..& to keep an eye on you all, of course.. :-)

    All my love everyone..

    xx
