hello all. so much happened in the last 3 wks. my hubby has moved out. he hasnt seen our 3 kids for 3wks now. B.....d!! how could he do this, to us now.

my counsellor thinks its because he couldnt deal wiv the cancer. and by me being in hospital for a long time, when i had my operation, highlighted how ill i am. oh i dont know. the kids are back to school next week, i need some normality back in my life and so do the boys.

i have planning for radiotherapy tomorrow, i cant really be bothered with it really. but hey... its a day out, away from these four walls. retreat is on 13th sept and radiotherapy starts 22nd sept. the last hurdle is approaching fast. then time to live again.

i hope everyone is getting on ok, with their treatment, whatever stage u are at, be strong and positive.

    tc all blossom xxx

ps. Chick thanks for message, ill reply soon. xxx

Hi Blossom It never rains but it pours. Thought things were sorted with hubby Think men take time to take things in and maybe hes just having difficulty dealing with everything. Not that you've not got enough on your plate. Keep strong and try and see some of your friends that will give you all the suport you need. Lots of Hugs ((((((((()))))))))

Jean Radio does make you feel very tired especialy as timne goes by. Ageter the treatment finished it took me about 6 weeks to recover from the tiredness.

I am feeling like I have the flue all the time and its realy getting me down as I am so lazy cause everything hurts. Hopefully this will go when I finish treatment.

Hope everyone had a good weekend and will catch up with you all tomorrow

    Lots of love

Just a quickie. I think radiotherapy is a bit like chemo in that it affects different people differently.

I had 15 goes, and I have to say I felt fairly OK all the way through. No excessive tiredness, although I did take things easy so maybe that helped. A friend of mine on the other hand, felt OK for the first two weeks then fell asleep in a coffee shop after his 11th treatment, and virtually slept for the next 3 weeks!

I've just realised that's no help to you at all, is it? lol. Sorry.

    Morning All

Blossom so sorry to hear that you are still going through the mill. I start my radiotherapy on the 15th so we can compare notes.

Lorraine, feeling fluey must be horrible on top of everything else. Just try to remain positive. Not easy, I know. By the way I've now got a headset and webcam!

Thanks to you and Kay for the info re radiotherapy. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how it affects me.

Kay, yes your right, your post didn't really help but it did make me and Duncan laugh out loud and for that I thank you!!!

Hope everyone else is ok today.

    Love to you all

    Hi,

Jean it’s good to know that the tattoos are small and painless. Like you I still have a yucky mouth and long for it to be back to normal. I've been sick and tired this time :-(. I’m so gutted to see that Radiotherapy can make you extremely tired because I’ve hated the extreme tiredness throughout chemo and I’m bound to be affected with Rads!! x

    Kay hope you’re ok x

Lorraine I have everything crossed for you that your bloods are ok Thursday. I really hope you don’t need to start that next chemo yet and you can just finish this chemo and have a well earned rest from it all, We need our taste buds back!!
I have another condition called Lupus and this attacks your immune system, organs and joints, and like you I feel like I have the flu and it’s no joke. Big hugs and positive thoughts are coming at ya x

Blossom I’m also having my Radiotherapy planning appointment today! Hope it goes well for you and keep strong for your boys x

Lesley some cycles of chemo are harder than others so don’t apologise for being down, we all understand. Hope you feel brighter today x

Paula Hope you had a fab time camping x

Caley it sounds as though you deserve things to go right this time with those results!! Keep positive x

Chrystal I think you are replying to a private message through this post. I really do agree we should all be given complete checks as early as possible to catch anything sinister and stand more of a chance to sort it out.

Debbie I hope you’re not so worried now. Thanks for the oxo and water tip x

Sue it’s great you’re feeling calm and not too worried. I’m sure you’re right and it’s the Thyroid Adenoma. Have a brilliant time with your brother and his partner x

Well I’ve just heard that many of us with Breast Cancer could have avoided it if we had a better lifestyle. I realise this must apply to some people, however i feel a little cross about this as I’ve always been slim, had a healthy balanced diet and been active but I still got Breast Cancer!! The Media make it sound as though it’s my fault i got cancer, and other people will say it’s our own fault we got cancer as we should have looked after ourselves better!! Just felt like I needed to rant about this!! :-)

    Take care Chelle x

Hi Ladies had fabulous time camping with mates, there ended up being 15 of us getting appropriately sloshed, as you do! Had a very comfy night in the west wing lol and a lovely big fry up this morning before leaving. I think the rest of the camp site were glad we were only there one night as you can imagine!!!!
Changed my profile pic so you can see me getting sloshed lol!!!!

    Hi Everyone

Still new to posting on this site so not sure who everyone is.

I start my chemo on Friday 4th Sept, 4 x 3 weekly sessions of EC then 4 x 3 weekly sessions of Taxatore + Herceptin. Herceptin 3 weekly for a year altogether. Then 15 sessions of radio once chemo finished, then Tamoxafin for up to 10 years (HER2+) and hormaone receptive. Can't say I'm looking forward to it, but glad to start the mop up process, the sooner it starts the sooner it will finish. Got a free wig lined up but ordered a real hair one from USA, it looks good on the website it wa $79 dollars inc postage. May be rubbish, but I'll take a chance.

I know everyone is different and treatment affects different people in different ways. I'm aiming to stay upbeat and positive though. I wish everyone well who is still undergoing treatment & hope we can all take comfort in the thought we are not in it alone & we can help each other.

    Best wishes to all xx
