    Afternoon All

Paula, I just love the boots! So pleased you had a good time. Hope today's chemo goes well for you and for you too, Cheryl.

Wiggy, I'm so sorry you have now another worry to cope with. Try and stay positive, easier said than done, I know. When do you get your MRI scan?

Nice to hear from you Kev. Hope you and Brad are OK. I had a letter nearly 4 weeks ago saying they were getting in touch with my surgeon/onc before they made a decision. Still waiting to hear!

Marmalade, Long time no hear! So pleased that your sister's op is actually being planned, at long last. Let us know how things progress after her visit to the surgeon,

I finished my chemo last Wedensday and start radio on Sep 15th for 3 weeks. Chelle has finished her chemo too and is waiting on a date to start the radio.

    Love to you all.

Congrats to Chelle too on finishing chemo!! Again, really hope times haven't been too difficult! Hope the date for radio comes through soon, so it can soon be over.

Have missed chatting to you lovely ladies, but as I said earlier, you are often in my thoughts.

Take care both of you & everyone else too..

At last :) I have finally managed to get a lot of the info across to Vicky's union rep. I have found inconsistencies, attempts to mislead, errors and that's just for starters but let's see what happens to her HR department when the union joins the discussion.

Congratulations to everyone who has just finished their chemo and best wishes to those who haven't.

    Hello Everyone
CONGRATULATIONS JEAN, CHELLE AND HEATHER FOR FINISHING CHEMO - YOU HAVE BEEN AN INSPIRATION ... there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Sorry for not posting for a while but the FEC chemo has not been kind to me and it takes me two weeks to feel half human again. I have been reading the posts but felt I did not have anything positive to contribute but I have been thinking of you all and wishing everyone as well as possible throughout this awful journey. I have now finished three FEC and will start three texotere tomorrow. Have 24 steroids to take over three days (bloods being ok!) Am not looking forward to this drug - I know some of us are on it already - so sorry you are having such a terrible time Laila and Lesley does the pain in the joints last for long - any other tips would be useful thanks. Good luck Sam I think you start yours today so we should finish about the same time all going to plan.
I got the dates for my radiotherephy which starts on 15 Nov so can see an end.
On the food and metal mouth front pickled cucumber is good and sherbert lemons if mouth not too sore! In fact might try pickled cucumber with fish finger!
Going to paint my nails black now! Am as always thinking of you all - it will soon be Christmas- and what a Christmas we will have!!
    love

Just off to bed but wanted to say goodnight to you, Jenney. Don't say sorry - its ok to tell us how you really feel. I do hope you get some good sleep and are feeling better in the morning. You are so right when you say waiting is the worst - every single one of us would agree. You are never on your own here! We all care.
    Goodnight everyone xx

Thanks for your reply Chelle & Chrystal, I hope my scan shows no problems, been waiting all day for a phone call to have MRI as Dr said someone would call today. I'm really anxious to get treatment going and hate all this waiting. My breast nurse called me at 6pm and said she is going to chase them up in the morning.
Has anyone had sedation for an MRI? I got really panicky just having a bone scan when my head was being done as can't stand closed spaces.

I hope everyone has a peaceful night. x

    Dear Jenny

So sorry you have been feeling so poorly. I have had three FEC and today start three Texotere (ugh). I too suffered quite badly. Is your temperature generally about 37ish. Keep an eye on it if it goes to 38 ring your unit or the emergency number they should have given you if out of hours (you probably know this) After my first FEC I was admitted to hospital in isolation for 6 days with neutropenia sepis I hope I havent worried you but I have learnt better safe then sorry. You could ring and speak to your chemo unit to report how you feel and hopefully get some some reassurance.

The DLA is really annoying I havent heard anything yet. I work for DWP and two years ago my job was to investigate alleged benefit fraud. Some of these cases were DLA. I once saw a man who was "virtually unable to work" building a brick wall" I don't know how they assess applicationa as this is done in Blackpool, but I do know most are allowed on appeal. Funnily enough I never thought to claim it until Kev mentioned it.
As always thinking of you all. Have my chemo at 13.45 today apparantly Tex has a short shelf life - what ever that means!

Hi everyone....seems that a most of us are struggling with one thing or another at the moment!!!!Not surprising as this is sueh a 'shitty' place to be,it's just so reassuring that I can come on here & not feel alone (thanks people).
I was told the chemo could stop my periods, but it has done quite the reverse, I have had 3 bleeds in the last 6 weeks!!! Anyone else had this?
Jenney dont be sorry...it's not fair & coping with the physical side of this disease is enough, without having to worry about anything else.
Daryl...my aching, with the Taxotere, usually lasts for about 5 days & is controlled with Paracetamol..poor Laila sounds much worse with it.
Hope all goes well for you Wiggy with MRI scan.
Love & Hugs to everyone else
